Breast Cancer

Breast cancer is an uncontrolled growth of abnormal cells in the breast.

Mammograms are the best method to help detect breast cancer early when the cancer is easier to treat. Mammograms can help to detect breast cancer before it is big enough to feel or cause symptoms. Having regular mammograms can lower the risk of dying from breast cancer.

All women 40 years and older should have a mammogram once a year or as recommended by their doctor.
