Processing Times for Certified Copies

Request for a birth or death record
12 weeks (average)

          If you are amending a birth or death record and have paid for a certified copy of the amended record,

          refer to the Processing Timeframes for Amendments below for amendment processing times. 

Request for a public marriage record
Can exceed 6 months

          (County Recorder Offices can process requests much faster than our office.)

Request for a Certificate of Record (Divorce)
Can exceed 6 months

These are our average processing times, which may occasionally increase as our volume of requests increases.

Processing Times for Amendments

The average processing times for amendments are listed below.  These processing times include issuing a certified copy of the amended record (if you paid for a copy).  Our processing times may occasionally increase as our volume of requests increases.

Birth Affidavits - 7 Months

Death Affidavits -12 Months

Marriage Affidavits - 7 Months

Supplemental Name Reports - 7 Months

Court Order Name Changes - 7 Months

Paternities / Adjudications - 12 Months

Adoptions - 10 Months

Delayed Registrations - 3 Months
