Consumer Confidence Reports (CCRs)

The prepartion of CCRs is required by Health & Safety Code §116470.  It also ― in subsection (b) ― requires requires public water systems with more than 10,000 service connections that detect contaminants above their public health goals (PHGs) to provide PHG exceedance reports every three years and to hold public hearings regarding their reports.

Small Water Systems - CCR Guidance and Templates

CDPH (previously the California Department of Health Services, CDHS) provides guidance documents and a template to assist small water systems in California to complete their required CCRs. The files listed will assist small water systems in completing the required notification to small water system customers and water users:

• Template for the 2007 CCR — Your 2007 CCR must be completed and mailed to consumers by July 1, 2008.
• Instructions — for the 2007 CCR (covers water quality data from January 1, 2007 through December 31, 2007).
• Attachments 1 - 5 — required language on contaminants that must be used in the 2007 CCR.
• Attachment 6 - Certification — certification that you completed your 2007 CCR and provided it to consumers must be sent to the CDPH Drinking Water Program's District Office or Local Primacy Agency regulating your water system by October 1, 2008.
