Welcome to the State of California

Partnerships

The Network for a Healthy California (Network) develops strategic partnerships with industry, government, and community-based organizations that can help in the advancement of common goals, allowing the Network to leverage its resources and interventions for maximum impact.

The Network continues to develop strategic partnerships with industry, agriculture, government, and community-based organizations to support more efficient program delivery, while leveraging limited resources and interventions for maximum impact.

The need to partner and focus together is now more critical than ever.  Across California and the nation rising obesity levels, and sedentary lifestyles, food insecurity, and hunger are but a few challenges.  The impact of lifestyle choices, broader social determinants, and limited resources demand the development and strengthening of effective partnerships that underpin a crosscutting integrated approach to enhance Food Stamp Nutrition Education (FSNE). Partnerships help the Network to widen the reach and effectiveness of FSNE programs in California, helping to fill gaps; implement nutrition education activities in underserved food stamp eligible parts of the state; and with limited resources to expand FSNE services throughout the state

Collaboration with local health departments, agencies and organizations throughout the State is vital for the Network for a Healthy California make this vision a reality.

Network Partnership Development Infrastructure

The infrastructure of the Network is horizontally and vertically integrated, to facilitate coordination and communication at all levels.  This includes working with multiple departments and categorical programs at the state level, facilitating communication, and helping partners and programs connect at multiple levels locally.  The result is intended to be a dynamic, responsive infrastructure that captures synergies among diverse partner organizations.
